To tell you the truth, I feel very protective over my bestie. I want to make sure the guy that she chooses to spend the rest of her life with is strong, intelligent, witty, fun, able to make her smile everyday and the most important quality is that he has to be the most awesomest person ever because that's what she deserves. I am very happy to report back that this guy (who is sooo very lucky to get a girl like my bestie) inhibits all these characteristics and then some =). As long as he continues to act and feel like a brother to me he's a keeper.

I traveled far and wide to Tulsa, Oklahoma (hehe) to partake in the engagement festivities of these two love birds. And let me tell you, Tulsa. Makes. Me. Very. Happy. Yes, I admit it, I absolutely loved Oklahoma! I felt so relaxed and just elated with all the joy that surrounded this weekend. What makes Tulsa so amazing is simply the people. I instantly felt part of the family upon my arrival, within the first hour my bestie's future bro-in-law and I had so many inside jokes that could annoy everyone else for a lifetime. By the second day I was comfortable escorting her future mom-in-law, with arm over her shoulders, to her car and accompanying her and future dad-in-law on the drive home from the airport. What made me the most happy was feeling the warmth inside my mushy heart when carrying and playing with my new bro's baby nephew, omg he was soooooooo cute!

I took breaks from bonding with the Tulsa family to photograph my bestie and her future hubby-to-be in an engagement session. We were able to snap some beautiful shots while driving around Tulsa and a few more at their engagement party, where I must say, that I never seen two people sooo happy and in love! Lucky people.

Cheers to a lifetime of hugs and kisses and to having an amazing marriage for as long as eternity and a day! =)

From her: It's simple, being with my friends and family make me happy. I love spending quality time with the people who mean the most to me because it helps me remember how blessed I am.

From him: Naps on Saturday afternoon. A good basketball or football game coming down to the wire. Drinking chai each morning. Adam Sandler movies. Achieving goals that I set. Most importantly, being around my family and friends.

(500) days of the Spring Break OTs

There was a time where I came to the conclusion, that I would go around from city to city with me and just my camera. Setting up my SLR just the way I like it, finding a spot to get the perfect frame and then handing my love to a complete stranger to snap a picture of me all the while crossing my fingers that they got the shot I envision in my head and in just one click. OH and of course hoping that they don't jet off with my camera! I did this A LOT on my "path to independence trip" when I traveled (via Megabus!) to D.C and New York all by myself. Handing over my Rebel to someone I will probably never see again, was tough, but you gotta do what you gotta do to get that perfect shot =)
Somehow, Somewhere, Someone heard my cry and sent me these lovely girls in a nicely wrapped package called OT school. Finally, I had people to share my interesting interests with. We spent all day in the city, being stared at by some weirdoes and also being mistaken for tourists (fyi, all of us have grown up in so. cal). We took pictures from every possible angle and experimented with some fun filters. Together we created long lasting memories that will last well more than 500 days.

This was a field trip to Downtown Los Angeles and we found all the spots you never knew existed unless you were Tom Hansen finding his happiness by loving a girl who was all wrong for him. (500) Days of Summer, is one of my favorite films, from the perfectly picked cast, to the wonderful cinematography and the capturing "this is not a love story" plot. The girls and I had the most picturesque day making scenes of this movie a reality.
